Okay, I’m here and I’m finally, FINALLY, doing this. I mean, I only set up my WordPress account FOUR months ago!!? Honestly, I have thought about writing a bunch of times these past several months, and every Tuesday morning when I got the SOL reminder emails I thought to myself, “Oh, maybe I’ll be able to fit that in later.” However, I never did. It really is so easy to allow life to get in the way and I’ve been doing it for way too long.
So, my very late New Year’s Resolution is to make the time to do it! It’s February vacation week and since I’m not working today there was no excuses. There was NO way I was going to let another Tuesday pass me by!
This first “slice” is my accountability post. It is where I make a promise to myself that I will start making the time for me and my writing. Just like I force myself to get up every morning at 5:00 am to workout before the craziness of my life begins, I need to have the same commitment to my writing. I mean what better way to really hold myself accountable than to jump right in and join the March Challenge??!!! I’m ready! I’m motivated, I’m excited, and I’m going to do this for myself. Can’t wait to get started, to get to know everyone, and to learn from you all.
Delighted to see you here! It’s hard to commit to something new. Bravo to you for jumping-in in advance of the March SOLSC!

Congratulations and welcome!!! I was in your same position one year ago. I wasn’t sure how I would fit slicing into my life as a full time teacher and parent of three (two of which were one year-old twins). But I just jumped in and did it, and I’m so glad I did. Writing became an important part of my daily routine, and I’m sure it will be the same for you :). Looking forward to getting to know you more in March!

You got this! I started blogging 3 years ago as well as Slicing 3 years. And I haven’t looked back once! I love it! Good luck to you. I look forward to reading your posts in March.

I’m right there with you! I tend to write in “creative spurts,” which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I’m focusing on building a writing habit. Creativity begets creativity, so I know building the habit will change my “creative spurts” to more of a constant “creative flow.” Are you on Twitter? Let’s be accountability partners!

Welcome to the SOL community. You are starting a fantastic writing adventure. It won’t always be easy, but when you show up, write, share and connect, it brings joy. Looking back at the slices you collect will be wonderful. I like how you call this slice an accountability post.

Love your commitment in this sentence: “I’m ready! I’m motivated, I’m excited, and I’m going to do this for myself. ” Way to go!

Welcome! Being part of this group is what keeps me inspired to blog. I haven’t had a stellar 2017 yet, but I figure I better get rebooted and ready for March!
